3) Purpose of Processing
Genuine Futures CIC may collect photographs, video, audio interviews, and written testimonials of children/young people participating in our programmes to: (a) celebrate achievements; (b) demonstrate impact to funders/partners; (c) promote opportunities to other young people and families; and (d) provide updates to schools and local authorities.

7) Lawful Basis & Data Details
Lawful basis for images and testimonials: CONSENT (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Some information may constitute special category data (e.g., disability/SEND) used only with explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
Data controller: Genuine Futures CIC. We retain images/recordings for up to 3 years from the date of capture, unless withdrawn sooner or a shorter period is requested. Content may remain in historic printed materials already in circulation.
8) Your Rights & Withdrawal of Consent
You can withdraw consent at any time. We will stop future use and remove content from our own platforms where feasible. Email hello@genuinefutures.co.uk with the young person’s name, event/date, and the channels to remove. Note: previously printed items or third-party reshares may be beyond our direct control.

For children under 16, a parent/guardian must give consent. Young people aged 16–17 should also sign to indicate their own consent/assent.

I am the parent/guardian/carer (or young person aged 16–17, where applicable) and I give consent for Genuine Futures CIC to capture and use images/audio/testimonials of the young person per the opt-ins selected above. I understand I can withdraw consent at any time.
I give explicit consent for any disclosed special category data (e.g., disability/SEND) to be processed solely for safeguarding/support purposes.
