At Genuine Futures, we believe that when young people are given the opportunity to lead, they can transform not only their own lives but also the communities around them. Over the past seven weeks, we’ve seen this vision come to life through our Boss Your Future Programme and our partnership with The Scrappers – Bolton’s number one car breakers and the award-winning television series.
A Youth-Led Hub Taking Shape
Our new headquarters at The Scrappers is becoming more than just a base of operations. It’s evolving into a youth-led hub where creativity, enterprise, and ambition thrive. Here, young people are supported to discover their potential, build confidence, and gain real-world skills that can carry them into brighter futures.
This isn’t theory – it’s action. Our young people have already been out in the Bolton business community, knocking on doors, sharing their stories, and promoting the launch of We Shine Any Car. The response has been incredible, proving that the local community is ready to support youth-led enterprise.
Leadership from Within
One of the standout moments so far has been seeing our Youth Voice Ambassador, Luis, step up to lead the way. His passion, energy, and leadership are inspiring not only his peers but also everyone connected to Genuine Futures.
With every conversation, every handshake, and every smile, our young people are showing that this is more than just a car cleaning venture – it’s a movement.
We Shine Any Car x We Scrap Any Car
Through our partnership with The Scrappers, we’ve connected two powerful initiatives:
- We Shine Any Car – delivering a showroom shine while building confidence, resilience, and enterprise skills in young people.
- We Scrap Any Car – proving that any old scrap can turn into cash… and that cash is invested directly into building futures.
Together, these projects show how practical enterprise can unlock opportunities, fund growth, and empower the next generation.
Pre-Launch Event: Join Us!
We’re excited to announce the Pre-Launch of We Shine Any Car:
Thursday 18th September
10am – 4pm
228 Waterloo Street, Bolton, BL1 8HU
On the day, you’ll get to meet our budding young entrepreneurs – from creative artists to cheesecake makers – who are proving that entrepreneurial talent comes in many forms.
To top it off, the award-winning HM Pasties will be on site, serving up food that’s not only delicious but also made with purpose.
A Dynamic Impact in Just 7 Weeks
It’s hard to believe that we’ve only been running this programme for seven weeks. In that short time, we’ve already witnessed a dynamic impact on the lives of our young people. Confidence is growing, entrepreneurial talent is being unlocked, and futures are beginning to take shape.
This is what happens when we put young people in the driving seat – and we’re only just getting started.
