Declan’s Journey: A Mother’s Reflection.

In the car coming home, I chose to give Declan some space. I noticed he seemed a bit anxious, and I wanted him to have the freedom to process his thoughts. As we drove past a drain cleaning company, he suddenly spoke up, “Hey Mum, I’m going to apply for that when I get home. I’ll send them an email.” It was amazing to witness this newfound motivation in Declan, especially after just two sessions with Genuine Futures.
The Impact of Genuine Futures
Declan has started putting action to his thoughts, thinking positively, staying focused, and showing determination. Everything that Mike discussed today had such a positive impact on him. Mike emphasized the importance of understanding our values and turning thoughts into actions. This message truly resonated with Declan.
David also shared some of his experiences working with people who deserve a chance—because, indeed, everyone does. His words reassured both Declan and me, offering support and encouragement. It’s comforting to know that David is there to help if needed. What a team Genuine Futures is!
A Mother’s Pride
As Declan’s mum, the feeling of seeing my son grow and set goals for himself, with the help from Genuine Futures, is indescribable. Alicia, another great speaker, shared her experiences, adding to the positive impact on Declan.
Sam is truly an inspiration. He notices emotions, offers help, and supports people, boosting their confidence and belief in themselves.
