In this episode, Luis — a Youth Voice Ambassador at Genuine Futures — speaks directly to decision-makers in Bolton. After sending messages to almost fifty councillors and receiving only one reply, he’s asking a simple question:
Who is really listening to young people in our town?
Luis shares his own journey, from uncertainty to leadership, through his work in the “We Shine Any Car” youth-led car care initiative. His message is clear and urgent: young people don’t need promises, they need presence.
This episode highlights one young voice determined to make Bolton better, and calls on the council, local businesses, and government to show up, visit the site, and support the movement we’re building together.
“It’s the first time I felt like my story mattered.” — Alex, 16
