Young People Get a Taste of Opportunity with HM Pasties Foundation

More Than Just Pies
There was plenty of tasting, conversation and laughter as young people from Genuine Futures CIC took part in the latest stage of an exciting project with the HM Pasties Foundation, ahead of the Bolton Food and Drink Festival.
The young people had the opportunity to sample pies and contribute to a project that will ultimately be showcased at one of Bolton’s biggest annual events.
But for us, this is about much more than pies.
Creating Real Opportunities
At Genuine Futures, we believe young people build confidence by being given the chance to participate in real experiences, meet new people and see where their skills and ideas can take them.
Projects like this can introduce young people to food production, hospitality, enterprise, marketing and volunteering while helping them develop communication, teamwork and confidence.
It is another example of our approach to bridging the gap to opportunity.
Collaboration That Creates Impact
We would like to thank the HM Pasties Foundation for collaborating with Genuine Futures and making space for our young people to be genuinely involved.
When businesses, social enterprises and community organisations work together, we can create opportunities that go beyond a one-off activity and help young people build relationships, experiences and pathways towards their future.
And judging by the pie tasting, the young people of Bolton certainly approve! ![]()
