Through a recent survey that we have conducted we found that their is an increasing problem with aggressive behaviour among Lancashire’s young people who face peer pressure brought by social media and concerns over a “toxic masculinity” in their communities.
Many are wrestling with additional challenges — like stressful life events, emotional regulation problems, attention deficits, autistic symptoms, or hyperactivity.
We also know that a large proportion looked after children within the local authority along with ex-prisoners are at risk and are suffering from the effects of high levels of social deprivation and are at risk of poor mental health and long term unemployment.
