In the UK, car washes are everywhere — but none quite like this. This September, Bolton will become home to something truly unique: We Shine Any Car, the only car wash in the country that is both youth-led and dedicated to giving back. This isn’t just about clean cars. It’s about clean slates.
Why We Shine Any Car Is Different
We Shine Any Car isn’t your typical business. Every car we wash helps create opportunities for young people who have been written off, left behind, or told they’ll never make it.
From training and mentoring to building confidence and work-ready skills, our mission is simple: turn lived experience into leadership. By giving young people real responsibilities and the chance to run something of their own, we’re proving that potential exists everywhere — it just needs a chance to shine.

The project is driven by Genuine Futures in association with The Scrappers. It also connects to our wider Boss Your Future Bolton programme, delivered in partnership with Entrepreneurs Unlocked and Recycle IT — a programme that’s helping young people across Bolton build the skills, enterprise, and confidence to create brighter futures.

Luis, one of the young people leading the project, said:
“We’ve worked so hard on building this from the ground up. It’s not just about washing cars — it’s about proving what young people like us can do when we’re trusted and given a chance.”
