Posted on:
Nearly a million ‘hidden’ young people left behind without state help to survive and find work.
The alarm has been raised over a staggering number of “hidden jobless”.
The rising number of young people getting involved with gangs, knife crime and drugs is escalating across our communities.
There is an Urgent need for a call to action over the huge numbers at risk of a life of unemployment, poverty and crime – despite decades of empty promises of intensive support to achieve their potential.
Time, resources and multiple interventions are needed NOW to achieve sustainable change.
- Prevention is cheaper than ‘cure’
- Local partnerships need to work together across sectors to ensure opportunities are provided
- Commissioning and funding needs to change
- Local problems require local solutions
Collaboratively together we can provide solutions to this growing problem so that no young person is left behind.
Building a brighter genuine future for all through collaboration.
